Miss My Mom :(

I MISS MY  :(   MOM

January 6,2017

What an year 2016 it was….It started with the pain and ended with a pain!

But the pains were different. January 2016 when I was in the ninth month of my pregnancy, due to Cholestasis, I had severe problems and hence was in trouble. But deep in my heart I knew that I am going to attain something. I was about to give life to an individual. God has chosen me to bring one more beautiful soul to this land. I will be soon witnessing a new life emerging from me. Motherhood as I understood is a divine emotion that can’t be put in words. A mother shares the most beautiful & strongest bond with her child.

I was waiting for my life to change with the advent of a new offspring in the family but at the same time I was in a pain to lose the one who gave birth to me. How does nature do this?

I was losing my mom when I was on verge of becoming a mom….How strange are the nature’s games…!

All through her life she lived cheerfully teaching us to enjoy every moment. Make memories of everything we do. We had several tough times but my mom never taught us to sit back and cry, she taught us to accept and fight. To move ahead at our path with the head high. She taught us to be brave, to handle situations and to govern….

Life is not even close to what it was, with her. I miss her all my day at various moments but then I am happy that her suffering from deadly disease ended soon than expected. She was in pain and we could not see her in agony.

“Pain of this parting was a heartache as I knew that we are never going to see you, never going to sit and talk our hearts and never hug you again.”

That feeling of putting your head on mother’s lap cannot be matched to any other feeling in the world.

Ahhh! Unfortunate me…..

I am left all alone….but teachings and the strength you gave me in your last few days was amazing. How could you teach me to stay without you Mom! The wisdom you gave will remain with us all through our lives….

It’s only us who are grief stricken and in sorrow, you are in peace I know MOM……..

Today when I sit and write this for you I just want to say that without you my life has no meaning. I see you and miss you in every breath I take.

Sitting all alone hurts Mom! Why were you in such a hurry to leave us….?

Nobody can feel the pain and agony I feel but I smile because you told me to do so…! J

You win Mom…once again….you win……God could not see you bearing all that pain so he called you…to be with him. You won the battle, the disease lost. Even Cancer could not make you suffer, cry and grieve.

I am happy and see you in each star that twinkles in the night….!
Be safe & happy mom!

People Talk Of Love...

People Talk Of Love...
In today's world of greed,
In today's world of fraud,
In today's world of broken relations,
People talk of true love.

In today's world of materialism,
In today's world of selfishness,
In today's world of distress,
People talk of true love.

In today's world of mishappenings,
In today's world of misunderstandings,
In today's world of one- night stands,
People talk of true love.

People have the right to love;
If they honour the values and culture.
People have the right to love;
If they know the need of each other.
and people have the right to love
If they have faith that one day they 'll be together

Why do good people suffer....????

The Evil You Do Remains With You; The Good You Do, Comes Back To You

A woman baked chapati for members of her family and an extra one for a hungry passerby. She kept the extra chapati on the Window-sill, for whosoever would take it away. Everyday, a hunchback came and took away the chapati. Instead of expressing gratitude, he muttered the following words as he went his way: "The evil you do remains with you: The good you do, comes back to you!". This went on,day after day.
Everyday, the hunch-back came, picked up the chapati and uttered the words: "The evil you do,remains with you: The good you do, comes back to you!" The woman felt irritated. "Not a word of gratitude," she said to herself...

"Everyday this hunchback utters this jingle! What does he mean?"One day, exasperated, she decided to do away with him. "I shall get rid of this hunchback," she said. And what did she do? She addedpoison to the Chapatti she prepared for him!
As she was about to keep it on the window sill, her hands trembled. "What is this I am doing?" she said Immediately, she threw the chapati into the fire, prepared another one and kept it on the window- sill. As usual, the hunchback came, picked up the chapati and muttered the words: "The evil you do,remains with you: The good you do, comes back to you!"
The hunchback proceeded on his way, blissfully unaware of the war raging in the mind of the woman. Everyday, as the woman placed the chapati on the window-sill, she offered a prayer for her son who had gone to a distant place to seek his fortune.

For many months, she had no news of him. She prayed for his safe return. That evening, there was a knock on the door. As she opened it, she was surprised to find her son standing in the doorway. He had grown thin and lean. His garments were tattered and torn. He was hungry, starved and weak. As he saw his mother, he said, "Mom, it's a miracle I'm here. While I was but a mile away, I was so famished that I collapsed. I would have died, but just then an old hunchback passed by. I begged of him for a morsel of food, and he was kind enough to give me a whole chapati."As he gave it to me, he said, "This is what I eat everyday: today, I shall give it to you, for your need is greater than mine!"

As the mother heard those words, her face turned pale. She leaned against the door for support. She remembered the poisoned chapati that she had made that morning. Had she not burnt it in the fire, it would have been eaten by her own son, and he would have lost his life! It was then that she realized the significance of the words:"The evil you do remains with you: The good you do, comes back to you!"
Do good and; Don't ever stop doing good, even if it's not appreciated at that time.

Learning From the First Job

Working in Indian MNC for about 1.5 years was a great learning experience and hence what else could be the tag line of this post..!!!

The journey began on 16 Feb 2010, when I reached Infosys, Jaipur as a fresher to the Corporate World. This company gave me a chance to travel abroad…to Amsterdam, Netherlands, for the on-site training of their new process which was associated to a renowned Media and Publication Client. The trip was great and Learning began from the fight to get the Visa from there Mumbai Embassy. But after crossing every disappointment and huddle, I finally reached the city of Diamonds- Amsterdam. There was learning every day as I was in a different country..a different set of people with a completely different cultural set. But the journey was an enriching experience.

Soon new phase in life began…everything around was very uncertain and I was out of my comfort zone. I missed my friends badly in the initial days but soon realized that this had to happen and it was good that I was moving ahead in my career and learning new things. I began making new friends..My training began ….We were paid enough On-site by the company so money was not a problem ever.!!!

We completed our work in the week days so that we can go and explore the place over the weekends..the Canal ride, Rotterdam, Hague, Delft, The Volendam, The Country Site and many other places we explored during this trip. Everywhere we went we discovered things which were different and very new to us…

Coming back to India was painfulL as we were enjoying everything in Amsterdam. But time flew away very fast and I completed a span of 13 months @ Infy.I was able to stabilize the process with a support of a good team. It was time say Goodbye..u must be thinking if everything was going well..why did I resigned????

It was a matter of sheer coincidence that the time when I was serving my notice period, two great leaders @ Infosys resigned: K Dinesh and TV Mohandas Pai. Surprisingly, the reason stated by Pai for his separation was no different than mine. Pai had reportedly said that he did not agree with the Company practice of of seniority getting a priority over meritocracy in deciding the leadership team…If in today’s time, a Company cannot reward its employees equivalent to the hard work they put in, How can they ever get the attrition rates down???

The fight for promotion and progression comes later, but the importance of Employee Motivation and proper Recognition can never be ruled out…..The big learning from this phase of life was that you will never find much space in a big company to do things your way..If you want to do things your way..You need to follow your interests and dreams…Instead of following the Standard operating Procedures…!!!

GREEN FOR ALL AND IN YOUR PORTFOLIO

Year 2009 not ended with a very good note as Copenhagen summit concluded without any decision related to new climate agreement to succeed Kyoto Protocol. US was expected to take a bold leadership in Copenhagen by committing to a strong climate agreement. We all are facing the consequences of global warming in our lives, we might ignore and remain busy but it is there and affects everybody! Ask the victims of global warming- those who cannot harvest due to drought, those who watched their homes fell in water and countries which are losing natural energy resources the cause. People are coming together to fight the cause and we must join hands too.

Green In Your Portfolio

Yes, the world today is moving towards green hotels, green buildings, green apparels, green fuel, green tourism, green jobs and finally GREEN ECONOMY. No sector of economy would left untouched in this green revolution. In this changing scenario, the portfolio of investors also needs a correction. Some energy stocks if included in ones portfolio are really to boost up profits. Green Bull is coming and it will surely make the investors wealthy. People around the world are talking about clean energy and such measures in business then how can market remain unaffected. Big wing projects, solar panels, green hotels etc are surely going to do very well in market and return can go up to more than 100%.

Smarter investors will keep on accumulating the green energy stocks and this will lead to daily profits for them.

"IS THAT LUCK ONLY WHICH MATTERS IN LIFE"

I am in a confusion regarding good luck and hard and smart work. How this two are related and impact our lives. In our day to day lives we normally see that people who are really hard working get the results after a long wait and people who are clever and smart workers do often better in their lives. Does this mean that in modern world, it is only luck and looks that matter and not your actual capabilities. I really want to figure this out, please can anybody help??
Working hard is something which everybody cannot do and that is why the smart work comes in. in today's fast moving world one should be more of a smart worker than a hard worker. But does that mean that one should just stop working hard thinking that nothing is going to benefit. Are hard workers on such a back seat. Is working hard becoming useless?
No, is what i feel. Because what I have learnt from life is that the hard workers reap benefits but that might happen later. God tests their patience, may be. No issues at all. The person who deserves to be their on top will reach their one day only with hard work and not by flattery. Its talent and attitude at the end of the day which takes you to great heights.
Can I then conclude by saying that the topic of debate remains- "Do means justify ends" or the means you follow to reach the top don't matter at all.

"AERO MODELING WORKSHOP"

“KEEN TO LEARN HOW PLANES FLY….COME LEARN WITH US”

Yes, this was the tag line of a workshop which we conducted at our university campus titled –“welcome to the world of aero dynamics”. Conducting an event is not that easy, it is the blend of all activities which we learn in our management. We began with the planning of event which included the permission from authorities, deciding on the date and place and also the purpose and agenda of the workshop. Then comes the promotion of the event. It was very important to know the response of the students as we were mainly targeting the hostellers and the event was to take place on Sunday. We went to each class telling students what we are planning to do. We had posters and social networking sites helping us in promoting the event. Managing finance was the next challenge. Budgeting, handling and making payments for the materials ordered. Then we organized the sequence of events on the day of workshop. All were important things to manage the welcome speech, the chief guest’s speech, the air show and the practical learning. While organizing it was necessary to delegate some tasks as one or two persons cannot do everything- managing and maintaining discipline among 75 young enthusiasts who were keen to become aero modelers. And on the very last moment we found that web cam was not working. And oh my god! We had no time to arrange for the things. In fraction of seconds the chief guest was to arrive and we were not ready….?? Amazed… Let me tell you what we did, we called the IT people who helped us immediately and we were able to make things right. This was so unexpected but we learnt to fight contingencies. One workshop can teach so much and I am happy that I learnt this all.

DON’T LIMIT YOURSELF AND YOUR LEARNING. I took interest in the workshop just because I wanted to experience the phases one has to undergo. I am not from technical background neither I had any knowledge of the electronic components of a RC plane. But I learnt and now I am aware. LEARNING HAPPENS IN EVERY SECOND OF LIFE, TRY TO LEARN…..
