"IS THAT LUCK ONLY WHICH MATTERS IN LIFE"

I am in a confusion regarding good luck and hard and smart work. How this two are related and impact our lives. In our day to day lives we normally see that people who are really hard working get the results after a long wait and people who are clever and smart workers do often better in their lives. Does this mean that in modern world, it is only luck and looks that matter and not your actual capabilities. I really want to figure this out, please can anybody help??
Working hard is something which everybody cannot do and that is why the smart work comes in. in today's fast moving world one should be more of a smart worker than a hard worker. But does that mean that one should just stop working hard thinking that nothing is going to benefit. Are hard workers on such a back seat. Is working hard becoming useless?
No, is what i feel. Because what I have learnt from life is that the hard workers reap benefits but that might happen later. God tests their patience, may be. No issues at all. The person who deserves to be their on top will reach their one day only with hard work and not by flattery. Its talent and attitude at the end of the day which takes you to great heights.
Can I then conclude by saying that the topic of debate remains- "Do means justify ends" or the means you follow to reach the top don't matter at all.

"AERO MODELING WORKSHOP"

“KEEN TO LEARN HOW PLANES FLY….COME LEARN WITH US”

Yes, this was the tag line of a workshop which we conducted at our university campus titled –“welcome to the world of aero dynamics”. Conducting an event is not that easy, it is the blend of all activities which we learn in our management. We began with the planning of event which included the permission from authorities, deciding on the date and place and also the purpose and agenda of the workshop. Then comes the promotion of the event. It was very important to know the response of the students as we were mainly targeting the hostellers and the event was to take place on Sunday. We went to each class telling students what we are planning to do. We had posters and social networking sites helping us in promoting the event. Managing finance was the next challenge. Budgeting, handling and making payments for the materials ordered. Then we organized the sequence of events on the day of workshop. All were important things to manage the welcome speech, the chief guest’s speech, the air show and the practical learning. While organizing it was necessary to delegate some tasks as one or two persons cannot do everything- managing and maintaining discipline among 75 young enthusiasts who were keen to become aero modelers. And on the very last moment we found that web cam was not working. And oh my god! We had no time to arrange for the things. In fraction of seconds the chief guest was to arrive and we were not ready….?? Amazed… Let me tell you what we did, we called the IT people who helped us immediately and we were able to make things right. This was so unexpected but we learnt to fight contingencies. One workshop can teach so much and I am happy that I learnt this all.

DON’T LIMIT YOURSELF AND YOUR LEARNING. I took interest in the workshop just because I wanted to experience the phases one has to undergo. I am not from technical background neither I had any knowledge of the electronic components of a RC plane. But I learnt and now I am aware. LEARNING HAPPENS IN EVERY SECOND OF LIFE, TRY TO LEARN…..
